1. Introduction to research

All healthcare professionals have a role in leading or supporting the delivery of research, and pharmacy professionals are ideally placed to deliver high quality research in the healthcare environment.

This module will provide an introduction to research, highlighting the main differences between research, audit, service evaluation and quality improvement. An overview of the research landscape will help learners to understand how research fits into the wider context of pharmacy practice and how different professions and organisations can work collaboratively to generate new evidence to improve patient services.
