After completing this module, you should be able to:

1. Recognise the main signs, symptoms and causes which can lead to abdominal pain in children and young people.
2. Interpret a child’s or young person’s perception of pain using age and developmentally appropriate pain scales.
3. Recognise red flags for abdominal pain requiring onward referral.
4. Identify relevant ways to manage abdominal pain.
